July 26th, 2009 San Antonio resident, 33 year old, Otty Sanchez, stabbed and decapitated her 3½-week-old boy, Scott Wesley Buchholtz Sanchez, with a knife and two swords. She then proceeded to eat parts of his lifeless body and his brain.

In Texas, we seem to have more than our share of mothers killing their kids.

May 30th, 2007 Hudson Oaks resident, 25 year old Gilberta Estrada, hanged all four of her daughters, [5 year old Maria, 3 year old Yaneth Frayre, and 2 year old Magaly Frayre, and 8 month old Evelyn] and then herself in a closet inside their home. Eight month old Evelyn survived after being rescued by her aunt.

June 30, 2006, Mansfield resident, 32 year old Valerie Maxon put her one year old son, Alex, in the family's hot tub, and let him drown.

April ? 2005, Dallas resident 19 year old Kira Dodson suffocated her 18-month-old daughter, Kay Lynn, with a pillow.

August 12, 2005, Keller resident 50? year old Norma Jean Roberts suffocated her 11-year-old daughter, Kelsey.

November 22, 2004, Plano resident, 35 year old Dena Schlosser used a butcher knife to cut off the arms of her 10 month old daughter, Maggie, who then bled to death.

September 23, 2003, Plano resident, 33 year old Lisa Ann Diaz, drowned her daughters and then wrapped the girls [3 year old Kamryn and 6 year old Briana] in a blanket and laid them on a the bed in the master bedroom.

May 11, 2003, Tyler resident, 39 year old Deanna Laney, bludgeoned 6 year old Luke and then 8 year old Joshua to death in the family's rock garden. She proceeded to stone 14 month old Aaron while he was still in his crib. Aaron survived.

July 16, 2002, Hudson Oaks resident 25 year old Dee Etta Perez, drugged her three children [4 year old Bianca, 9 year old Diego and 10 year old Sergio], and then shot them to death. She also shot her husband in the back [unsure if he survived], and then turned the gun on herself.

June 20, 2001, Houston resident 37 year old Andrea Yates drowned her five kids [7 year old Noah, 5 year old John, 3 year old Paul, 2 year old Luke, and 6 month old Mary], in the bathtub.

Mac's Color Grabber

I went on a search for an eyedropper-like color grabber. If you're using a PC, this isn't a problem. The web is flooded with them. For Mac users, there doesn't seem to be a downloadable program, but once again I've found that Apple foresaw my needs, and built in the exact program I need ... I just needed to find it, and I did!

Finder --> Applications -->Utilities --> DigitalColor Meter

Your DigitalColor Meter will give you the RGB or the Hexadecimal code of any color under you cursor anywhere. The screenshot below shows the DigitalColor Meter just below my kitty image. I find I frequently need this particular tool, so after opening the program, I saved it to my icon dock by simply placing my cursor over the program's icon and pressing control & click, bringing up the options menu, and selecting Keep in Dock
